Paris Saint-Germain has etched its name into history by securing its first-ever UEFA Champions League title after a commanding 5-0 win over Inter Milan.
PSG struck early in the match with Achraf Hakimi finishing off a strong passing play from Desire Doue in the 12th minute.
Just a few moments later, Doue doubled PSG’s lead after his shot got deflected off Federico Dimarco and past Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
French striker Ousmane Dembélé added PSG’s third goal in the second half followed by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to put the match out of reach.
It’s the biggest winning margin in a Champions League final.
This was just the second appearance for PSG in the Champions League final, with their other appearance ending in a 1-0 loss to Bayern Munich in 2020.
With this victory, PSG becomes only the second French club to win the Champions League, following Marseille’s victory in 1993. They also secured the treble after capturing the Ligue 1 and Coupe de France titles this season.
