Oilers’ Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Corey Perry hit playoff milestones in Game 4

With two assists in Game 4 against the Dallas Stars, the 2011 first-overall pick became just the fourth player in NHL history to record multiple points in four straight games to begin a Conference Final.

He joins the likes of Wayne Gretzky (1983, 1988), Cam Neely (1990) and Craig Janney (1990) as players to accomplish the feat.

Nugent-Hopkins now has seven points in four games (two goals, five assists) and brings his total this post-season up to six goals and 18 points in 15 games.

He wasn’t the only Oilers player to notch a milestone on Tuesday.

With his second-period goal — a tap-in off a cross-ice pass from Nugent-Hopkins — forward Corey Perry became the fifth player in NHL history aged 40 or older to score a goal in a Conference Final game, according to Sportsnet Stats.

The marker snapped a five-game point drought dating back to Round 2 against the Vegas Golden Knights and brings his playoff points total to eight (six goals, two assists) in 15 games.
