The London Knights are back on top of the junior hockey mountain.
The Knights won the franchise’s third Memorial Cup with a 4-1 victory over the Medicine Hat Tigers in Sunday’s final.
The win marks the first Memorial Cup title for the Knights since 2016 and came one year after London lost to the Saginaw Spirit in the final in 2024.
The Knights jumped out to a 4-0 lead by the middle of the second period. Captain Denver Barkey (Philadelphia Flyers) scored twice for the Knights while Jacob Julien (Winnipeg Jets) and Easton Cowan (Toronto Maple Leafs) also scored. Sam Dickinson (San Jose Sharks) had three assists.
Gavin McKenna (2026 NHL Draft) got the Tigers on the board early in the third period, but it would be the only goal Medicine Hat would score in the game.
