Crystal Palace F.C. are FA Cup champions for the first time in the club’s 119-year history.
They won the historic title by taking down Manchester City 1-0 on Saturday at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium.
Goalkeeper Dean Henderson led Crystal Palace to victory, saving six shots in the shutout effort. None were bigger than his 36th-minute denial of a penalty from Man City’s Omar Marmoush.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze scored the contest’s lone goal. The midfielder needed just one touch with his right foot to redirect a Danuel Muñoz cross into the net at the 16th minute.
The win marks the club’s first FA Cup title in three final appearances, and its first major trophy in club history. It was also Crystal Palace’s first victory over Manchester City in any competition since 2021.
