The NFL’s ever-expanding footprint is taking a toll on teams’ travel schedules, and nobody’s feeling the pinch quite like those based on the West Coast. While East Coast franchises enjoy relatively manageable road trips, their Pacific counterparts are racking up serious frequent flyer miles.
The L.A. Rams will log a staggering 34,832 miles during the 2025 season — that’s the second-highest total among all 32 NFL teams, according to Bookies.com. Only their stadium roommates, the Chargers (37,086 miles), will travel farther, thanks partly to their Week 1 journey to Brazil.
We won’t know the exact sequence of games until the full schedule drops on May 14, but the Rams’ opponents are already locked in based on the NFL’s scheduling formula.
McVay’s Road Warriors Face Brutal Travel Schedule
Sean McVay’s squad is staring down a gauntlet of road games that’ll test their mettle regardless of when they play. The NFL’s 17-game format means NFC teams play nine road games this year. Beyond the usual three divisional trips, the Rams face an additional burden: five cross-country journeys plus an international flight.

They’ll get their shot at revenge against the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field — the site of their playoff exit last season. The revenge tour doesn’t stop there. Road matchups with the Panthers and Falcons (NFC South), Jaguars and Titans (AFC South), and the Ravens (AFC North) round out their away slate.
For the first time since 2019, the Rams are going international.
The NFL has slotted them against the Jaguars at London’s Wembley Stadium in Week 7. That 5,440-mile journey from L.A. to London isn’t just a long flight — it’s an 11-hour trek with an eight-hour time difference. While they’ll likely get their bye in Week 8, that means they’ll face the final 10 games without a breather.
SoFi Stadium will host some heavy hitters too. Beyond their three NFC West rivals, the Rams will welcome a trio of 2024 playoff teams — the Texans, Bucs, and Lions. They’ll round out their home schedule with the Saints and Colts. According to Sharp Football Analysis, the Rams have the 13th-toughest strength of schedule with a projected win total of 9.5 games.
